Indication

Glimepiride is used to type 2 treat diabetes mellitus or in patients with high blood sugar who require little or no injectable insulin. It
is used in conjunction with a special diet and exercise. Some patients may fail to respond initially or gradually lose their
responsiveness to glimepiride. Other antidiabetic agents such as metformin may be used in conjunction with glimepiride to achieve
the desired results.
