Indication

For the treatment of the following innfections caused by susceptible microorganisms: Skin and skin structure infections including boils, abscesses, carbuncles, furunculosis, impetigo, cellulitis, infected wounds, infected burns, protection for skin grafts, and infected skin conditions including ulcer, eczema and acne. Respiratory tract infections including pneumonia, lung abscess, empyema, sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsilitis, peritonsillar abscess, otitis media and externa. Other infections such as osteomyelitis, enterocolitis, endocarditis, urinary tract infections, meningitis, septicemia, and septic arthritis. As a prophylactic agent during major surgical procedures (e.g., cardiothoracic and orthopedic surgery) when appropriate.
