Indication

1. For the treatment of Iron de ficiency anemia associated with:
- Nutritional deficiencies (poor nutritional intake, restrictive diet)
- Periods of rapid adolescent growth
- Pregnancy and lactation
- Excessive menstrual flow
- Traumatic or endogenous hemorrhages
- Convalescence following surgery and chronic illnesses
- Old age and other conditions leading to poor iron absorption
2. Anemia resulting from or associated with folic acid deficiency
3. For the prevention of folate deficiency and conditions resulting from folic acid deficiency in pregnant women (neural
tube defects, including spina bifida and anencephaly associated with poor diet, malnutrition, inability to absorb the
vitamin as in gastrointestinal diseases, etc.)
4. For the prophylaxis and treatment of folic acid deficiency.
